Rangers personnel conducted targeted search operation in different areas of the city and arrested 22 accused including members of banned outfit while arms were also recovered from their possession, Geo News reported Saturday.
According to the Rangers’ spokesman, the security forces conducted a search operation in Metroville area of SITE during which the entry and exit points were sealed and no one was allowed to move in or out of the area.
During the raids, 22 accused were arrested while 55 types of arms and weapons were also seized.
Brig Hamid addressed a press conference and told that a targeted action was carried out in Metroville SITE area and six accused out of 22 belonged to a banned organisation. He told that operation against the criminal elements will continue in future as well.
Also, Rangers also arrested accused from Korangi and other areas who were involved in the targeted killing of policemen.
Brig Hamid said that security forces are not afraid of terrorists attacks and resorted to bring life back to the city of lights.
