With the start of Rabiul Awwal, celebrations of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), have started in the twin cities.

Citizens have illuminated the mosques, houses and streets with decoration lights and started arranging Melaad-un-Nabi (PBUH) events in the twin cities. Flags linked with Eid Milad-un-Nabi can be seen in houses, mosques and other buildings.

Ministry of Religious Affairs would arrange a National Seerat Conference on 12th Rabiul Awwal in this regard. Moreover, such conferences would also be arranged in provincial capitals and divisional as well as district headquarters.

Meanwhile, city district administration Rawalpindi has prepared foolproof plan for the security of the processions to be taken out on the day of Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on 12th Rabiaul Awwal.

According to the security plan, close circuit cameras would be installed on the routes of the processions and musical instruments like dhol have been banned.

Police contingents would be deputed on the routes, while the army would be kept on high alert, while the processions would be monitored through helicopters.

Bomb disposal squad would clear the routes of the processions. Ulema also promised to cooperate with the security officials and district administration on the day of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

In this connection, the DCO Rawalpindi said that final traffic and security plans would be announced soon. He further said that all the surety arrangements are being made so that anti-social elements could find no chance of any terror act.

APP adds: The Thirty Fifth annual International Milad-un-Nabi Conference titled ‘Teachings of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH, International Peace, Love and Humanity’ would be held on Monday in Rawalpindi. According to Chairman Markazi Imam Hussain Council Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi 1200 Ulema, Mashaikh and Scholars from 17 countries would participate in the conference.

He said such conferences would be held in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Quetta, Peshawar, Gilgit, Skardu, Khairpur, Jhang and Gawadar in Rabi-ul-Awwal.
