PM Khoso keeps defence, foreign affairs portfolios

Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has allocated portfolios to the caretaker federal ministers, except Sohail Wajahat, on Tuesday. The portfolios of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Inter-Provincial Coordination, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs, Finance and a few others were kept with the office of prime minister.



According to the press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Interior and Anti-Narcotics ministries have been allocated to Malik Habib; Law and Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, Human Rights to Ahmer Bilal Soofi; Water and Power to Musaddaq Malik; Information and Postal Services to Arif Nizami; Industries and Production to Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh; Textile and Commerce to Maqbool H H Rahmatoola;


Railways to Abdul Malik Kasi; Port and Shipping, Communication to Asadullah Mandokhel; Food and Security, IPC to Mir Hassan Domki; Science and Technology, IT, Professional Training and Education to Dr Sania Nishter; Overseas Pakistanis to Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel; Housing and Works to Dr Younis Soomro while Shahzada Jamal has been allocated the portfolio of Religious Affairs, National Harmony, Regulation and Heritage.

 


One of the members of the caretaker cabinet was dropped just before the oath taking ceremony. President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to the 14-member caretaker federal Cabinet on Tuesday, ending days of speculations about the interim setup led by Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso.
