Govt committed to minorities’ welfare: PM

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that his government is committed to the welfare of all minorities living in Pakistan.


The Prime Minister said this while talking to Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Syed Asif Hashmi who called on him at the PM House Sunday afternoon.“ Minorities are equal citizens of the land and their places of worship and religious sites would be provided protection.


The Prime Minister directed the Chairman to ensure all possible assistance and facilitate pilgrims from within and outside the country. The Chairman briefed the Premier on steps taken by the board for the welfare of pilgrims and measures taken to maintain their religious places.
